I signed up to ride to Paris and I damn well did it - my sponsors get what they pay for! I did the equivalent of 6 London to Brighton rides in 4 days I burnt at least 10,000 calories and climbed many thousand feet. I hadn't been on a road bike in 20 years but I got it worked out and only had one little fall which has created a tasty bruise. My thighs ache and I have the remains of a hangover from the final night.

I rode for St Barnabas House Hospice who looked after my best friend Trev in his last few months.  Until you need a hospice you don't realise how valuable their work is. They really improved life for Trev, his family and friends. That stay was paid for by other people so I wanted to help out of gratitude to them and to look after the next amazing dad, brother, son and friend who winds up in there.

I really appreciate your support in doing something great in Trev's memory. I've paid for the bike, logistics and accommodation etc. so all your money will go to St Barnabas - most of it already has. Please help me make the pain worthwhile!
