I am aiming to solo stand-up paddle board , camping along the way from the source of the River Thames at Cricklade Wiltshire to London Putney Bridge  , starting on the 22nd of August if the weather and my health allow , around 220km and about 45 locks , having to unload and reload all my equipment at each lock , over 5-6 days but have given myself 8 days , any donation small or large will be gratefully received , thank you in advance for your support .

I originally thought £500 would be a good limit , but I have been blown away by everyone’s generosity in these hard days and you’ve helped me almost get there with 69 days to go still , so I have upped the target and know we can hit that as well . Thank you all so much . 

Update:8/8 14 days to launch !!! 

So we are heading towards £22k , this is amazing and I can’t thank you all enough. I have had a few thousand likes across social media, if all just donated £1 Barnardo’s would have at least another £4k, but I understand we are all feeling the pinch so no matter how large or small it all adds up because so are the charity’s feeling the pinch .
