Sadly Mary passed away on 23rd April after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions Mary wasn’t allowed visitors in hospital, or in palliative care so we were keen to have her at home with her family that she loved around her.

Our wish was made possible thanks to the amazing service that Hospice Care North Northumberland offer. We had little knowledge of the work that hospice care did but were blown away by the practical and emotional support they offered at this most difficult of times. This allowed Mary to pass peacefully at home with her family around her and for that we can never repay them.

Hospice Care North Northumberland rely on donations to provide this amazing service. We have therefore decided instead of flowers to collect donations in Mary’s memory.
