Big Fun Run Ipswich 2014 · 18 October 2014 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for sponsoring Katy, Matthew, Kirsty and Kerry on our 5K run for Alzheimer’s society.

Our Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2013, after a very long battle of getting doctors to recognise that she was suffering from the disease. We have seen our Nan change from the loving, caring person she was to someone we hardly know. Alzheimer’s is a very cruel disease and we hope by doing this run we can help raise as much money, and most importantly even more awareness of the disease so that maybe one day someone else does not need to suffer like our Nan has.
