Apparently 4 pints of Guinness = an Ironman entry. Thank God I didn't have 5 or I might have done something stupid!
I am taking part in the inaugural Challenge Henley-on-Thames Iron Distance race of 3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42.2k run and hoping to raise money for Scope.
I swore I would never do this, very publicly in Triathletes world www.treelondon.com/triathletesworld.pdf . However, I really believe its everybody’s right to be able to use a toilet in a pub, imagine going out for a drink and not being able to go for a wee!
Scope is a charity that cares for disabled people and their families. Their vision is a world where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
With your help I am hoping to raise £1,000 to help make their vision a reality.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for taking the time to read my page.
Matthew
