We’ve been improving the lives of those who work or have worked at sea, and their families, for over 100 years. Established in 1917 as The King George's Fund for Sailors, to support the families of seafarers lost at sea during World War One, we support seafarers throughout their career and beyond.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Seafarers UK has been helping people in the Maritime community for over 100 years, by providing vital support to seafarers in need and their families, and to those in education  or training who are preparing to work or serve at sea.

The charity does this by giving to organisations and projects that make a real difference to people's lives, such as Human Rights at Sea, of which I am a trustee.

Last year, Seafarers UK gave grants totalling £2.5m to more than 60 charities, organisations and projects.

Seafarers UK receives no government funding and is heavily dependent on public donations and legacies to maintain it grant making programme.
