Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the marathon to raise money and awareness for a charity very close to me. NASS is the patient organisation for people with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). This is a condition that when not treated, fuses the vertibre/ joints together and causes extream pain in the effected area.

After taking over a year to get diagnosed, I am now on the correct medication and have been successfully on this for over two years now. It works to reduce the symptoms but this is a life long condition and without GP's having the proper information and ability to understand the symptoms and diagnose this correctly many more people suffer without the correct treatment.

Thank you for taking the time to read my brief description of what becomes a very debilitating disease.
