Story
For three years, Alyson and I have been supporting G, a young lady, with learning disabilities and Downs Syndrome to live a happy, safe and inclusive life.
G attends their one of their youth clubs, and was lucky enough to be selected to attend a residential project which encouraged her independence and assisted her confidence to grow. She learnt how to abseil, zipwire, kayak and self care independence skills. Her confidence soared and she still talks of this adventure.
This is what the Projects cost to run:
The full programme of Phab’s ILX Residential Projects costs around £128,000 a year – an average cost per place of around £595 for each of the 215 children, young people, older people, volunteers and carers taking part.
This will be my seventh Marathon, but only the second time I have run for a charity. As you can see Phab is very special to our family, and I want to help Phab continue to run these invaluable residential projects.
Thank you for your donation.
