Maximus has been diagnosed with a life changing disease where his his immune system has decided to make antibodies against the cells that help break down sugars and send them into the right cells.  He now has to inject insulin at least 4x a day and calculate everything he eats.  Being the legend he is he realises the impact the advances in research have had so that thankfully this is manageable and with continued research into diabetes it will hopefully be curable.  The challenge is to swim 22 miles (1408) lengths in 12 weeks but Max is obviously plannnig to try and double this as it's too easy for him ;) so please donate anything you can to help keep him going.
