Hi, my name is Megan and i'm raising money for No5 youth counselling.

About a year ago an event happened to that changed me.(i'm not going to go into detail) It completely turned my world upside down and i lost everything. I began to be sad,angry, i wasn't focusing in school. I just  didn't know how to cope. And then one day my mum signed me up to have counselling sessions with No5 youth counselling, and now ever since i started going to these session i'm a completely new person. My school work has improved dramatically, I've made new amazing friends, and i'm generally a lot happier. 

No5 are amazing. They are a charity funded only by donations, all the people that work there are volunteers. They help so many young people and i think they deserve way more recognition and donations than they already get. And that is why i am raising money for them! 

My mum is a big influence on me, she is an amazing woman and my role model. A couple years back she got diagnosed with diabetes. Considering my mum was a woman who loved all things sweet and sugary this was a real challenge for her. She then started to get really ill and was hospitalized a few time. But never the less she never gave up. Last year she ran the Reading half marathon. She has over come so many obstacle that came her way and she is my inspiration. Just because something bad has happened doesn't mean you have to give up, you pick yourself and concentrate on the positives. She is also doing this challenge with me and i thank her for the support and motivation she has given me. 

I'm raising money by doing the Nuts challenge. Its a 14 km army assault course containing over 100 obstacles per round and we are doing two rounds. Wow. This is going to be a big challenge, if you want to know more their website has a video of last years race.  www.thenutschallenge.co.uk
