Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

Recently I lost my beautiful sister Kerri due to complications from diabetes. She was 32 years old and left behind 2 young children.

This was a devastating tragedy for me and my family, and we struggle to understand how we can lose a 32 year old to diabetes in 2018.

Diabetes UK does fantastic work to ensure that this kind of thing is happening less and less. It is an amazing charity, and a place where diabetics can turn for help and advice.

I would really like to raise awareness of the disease. It is something we have all heard of, yet perhaps do not fully understand or appreciate the severity.

I would do anything to help prevent this happening to another family.

That is why this summer I will cycle with my fiancee Jen across 7 countries in 5 weeks, starting in Venice and ending in Munich. On this journey we will be spreading the word about diabetes UK in person and through our blog.
