Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.

Story

So i've decided to take a wee jaunt up our very own slieve Donard in the mourne mountains in Septmeber  in order to try and raise some money for 'Friends of the cancer centre' in .

“Friends”  is the leading local cancer charity based at the heart of the Cancer Centre, . The charity relies entirely on volunatry donations and makes a real and meaningful difference for thousands of cancer patients and their families across . Money raised is used in a variety of ways such as funding research within the Cancer Centre which means patients benefit from major advances in technology, which has improved and advanced patient treatment and care.

They also fund medical equipment to provide cutting edge technology to help with diagnosis and treatment of patients.

And they fund patient comforts to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

So on September 11th I'm going to climb 's highest mountain and i really really hope you can in any way big or small support me

Fingers crossed I actually manage to struggle my way to the top!!
