When a child is born with or develops a terminal condition, the emotional and physical impact affects the whole family and can be overwhelming. As specialists in care for young people and family support, we will continue to use our outstanding knowledge, experience and expertise to help families enjoy their lives together.’

I am the Lead Nurse within Demelza’s East Sussex community team and I know first hand what a difference our staff and services make to families. Every day, our staff go above and beyond to navigate families through their palliative care journeys, providing advice, support and specialist, individualised care. We can’t change a diagnosis, but we can support families to make amazing memories, enjoy their child’s life and family time to the fullest and help them through difficult times, including their darkest times. Our staff make the extraordinary seem ordinary, they’re truly amazing
