Bupa Great North Run 2012 · 16 September 2012 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Hello all!

After running the Berlin half marathon in April this year, I have decided to run another one - this time in Newcastle.

As this one will inevitably be a fair bit hillier than the perfectly pancake-flat course in Berlin (and therefore a lot more painful), this time I'm doing it for charity.

I've chosen the Stroke Association - I ran my first ever race (the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield) for them in September 2010 and hopefully I'll be able to raise even more this time.

Thanks very much for visiting and donating :)
