St Giles Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, for people living with terminal illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Story

Melissa was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma in August 2007 and sadly died in May 2008.  Mel was born in 1987 so this year would have been 30 years old.
Mel loved football, she supported Liverpool.  I support Everton.  We both supported Burton Albion and most weekends we could be found travelling up and down the country watching the Brewers.  That is why, for my 2017 challenge, I've decided to cycle to 30 football grounds that were special to Mel and I.
The 30 clubs are split in to 9 rides, the first will take in Wolves, West Brom, Halesowen Town and Walsall. The final three will find me cycling the 100 miles from Anfield in Liverpool, via Goodison Park and then back to Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium.

This is going to be an incredible journey, it will be emotional in places, there'll be memories revisited and created.  More about the individual rides will follow

St Giles Hospice supported our family at home to enable Mel to be in the place she wanted to be in her final weeks.  That is why I am fundraising for St Giles Hospice.
