Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I hoped that by the time I do my second fundraiser the COVID restrictions would be lifted. Unfortunately, we are still doing an online fundraiser, but I hope that one day we will finally be able to meet in person with all you wonderful people who take their time to care about the kids in need! 

During this lockdown I've been lucky enough to get stuck in Switzerland and practice various winter sports, including skiing, ski-touring, snowshoeing, even wanted to try snowboarding! After enjoying my time in the mountains I realised how unfair it is that I'm here having fun while there are kids in Russia spending their days battling the disease. I use the word "hate" very rarely, but I hated this unfairness! I want every kid to experience what I have experienced and more!  

This time  around I will be touring up the mountain from the village of Verbier (1500m) to the top of La Chaux (2480m) which is an estimated 10km touring distance. Anyone who has done any ski touring can understand that it is no easy feat. 

I'm doing this to show that we are all faced with various challenges throughout our lives and our perspective on the situation can determine the success. This tour won't be easy, but that makes the result all the more rewarding!
