Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 2 I will abseil down the side of the University of Dundee's Tower Building. For the record I am terrified of heights!!!

I know someone who was - and still is - seriously affected by a stroke. My friend Rubens, who is in one of the photographs, had a major stroke three years ago.

He survived the stroke, but is completely paralysed. He cannot move, he cannot speak - he is kept alive because machines help him to breathe. Yet it is obvious when speaking to him that his mind is still intact - an alert mind in a completely broken body. This is a fate no-one would wish upon anyone.

Donating to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland will help advance the understanding of these killer diseases and conditions more, and will help to lessen their impact upon people's lives.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Any amount welcome!
