In memory of Auntie Carol.

Late 2018 I was heart broken by Auntie Carol’s Leukaemia diagnosis. It came as a shock to all of us and even more to her immediate family. We were told they had caught the disease early and she was to come in with immediate effect to get the treatment started quickly. I never dreamt I wouldn’t get to see one of the most kind and beautiful individuals again.
Auntie Carol was told she may not be home for Christmas, this was a huge blow as it was one of the most important times of the year to her. Whether she could come home would depend on the chemo. Fortunately her first cycle of chemo went well which allowed her home to spend Christmas with her family and the ones she loved the most. Just before the new year she was back in hospital for her second round of treatment which again we believed went well. A few days later after being told she would soon be able to go home, she lost her fight to Leukaemia after catching neutropenic sepsis devastating all that knew and loved her.
I have set myself 6 challenges throughout 2019 - 2020 to help raise money for Bloodwise in honour of Auntie Carol who was taken away from us far too soon. The challenges include; Rough Runner, Tough Mudder, Blenheim Palace Triathlon amongst others.
I would like to help Bloodwise to put a stop to Leukaemia as my family continues to be impacted by the devastating affects of Leukaemia, as another very special lady in mine and my wife's live is battling this horrible disease.
Please any donations would be greatly appreciated and please leave your name so I can make sure I personally thank you for the help you have given to raise awareness for this important cause.
