I am thrilled to announce that I have the incredible opportunity to push my limits and support an exceptional charity, Barnardo's. On November 2, 2024, I will embark on the most challenging adventure of my life: a 12-day trek through the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp. This journey will involve trekking up to 9 hours a day, facing numerous challenges such as altitude sickness, sheer drops, and enduring temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.

In recent years, more than a third of young people have felt that the odds are stacked against them. We believe they deserve a brighter future. That's why we've partnered with Barnardo's to unite communities in support of young people. Co-op colleagues are walking, running, cycling, and climbing with the goal of raising £5 million over the next two and a half years. This effort aims to help 750,000 young people access essential needs like food, manage their mental well-being, and seize opportunities for their future.
