My name is Michael Laycock (75) and I am fundraising for research into MND (Motor Neurone Disease) and possible cure. I've had MND (Find out more here: http://www.mndscotland.org.uk/what-is-mnd/) for over 9 years and it is a slow slide (in my case) into the abyss.  Nil by mouth, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy), can't speak, doubly inlcontanent and wheelchair bound.

I have grown and dyed my beard and hair cornflower blue the official colour for MND Scotland. The aim is to keep the blue until Christmas Day, when both hair and beard will be ceremoniously shaved off.  I and the family, along with all the other families out there dealing with this devastating disease, will be most grateful for any spare change you can donate.
