London Marathon 2022

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
I was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the start of 2018, I had surgery to remove the tumor and the prognosis looked good. I had to go to the Christie hospital in Manchester every 6 weeks for routine bloods and a checkup. After a routine visit in April I was told that it had returned and had also spread which meant I would need to have intense chemotherapy. I started my chemotherapy at the end of May and that was for 9 weeks. I then had to wait another 8 weeks to see if it had actually worked. When I went back the doctors all said they were happy with the results and that the chemotherapy had done its job.
I am now going back regularly for check ups and I have 18 months left but I will be 5 years all clear.
Whilst having the treatment I was reading the fundraising leaflet and I set myself a challenge before I came out of remission. The challenges were sky dive, half marathon and then finally run the London Marathon.
I’m now 2 challenges down and I have the chance to really challenge myself and see if I can get round the famous 26.2 mile course of London.
I would really appreciate your donations no matter how small, every single penny counts
Thanks
