Sophie's Knitathon!
Fundraising for Simpsons Special Care Babies
Story
We would like to celebrate our daughter Sophie’s 5th Birthday by thanking Simpsons Special Care Babies and the Neonatal Unit for all their amazing work when she was born, by fundraising and also hosting a Knit-a-thon for the babies in the wards.
Sophie was born 3 &1/2 months early and weighed 880g. It was an extremely difficult time, but thanks to the expert care and support from the staff at the hospital, Today she is a healthy, funny, intelligent and beautiful soon-to-be 5 year old!
When babies are born so tiny, there is a great need for lots of donations of tiny specially knitted cardigans, baby hats, blankets and teddy’s.
These things just aren’t available commercially - and it honestly means just so much to the families to receive them!
The required Knitting Patterns are available from Specsavers Morningside (01314469960, or dir.morningside.uk@specsavers.com )

If you have the skills to knit, we would be so grateful to you for a donation ❤️ - All Knitted donations can be handed in to the Specsavers Morningside Store.
If you would rather donate money, we would love to raise £1000 for the charity.
All money donated goes straight to the charity’s account.
