Story
Hospice at home help and support patients and their families with palliative and end of life care across West Cumbria, 24 hours a day, 365 Days a year. Less than a quarter of their funding comes from the NHS the rest they have to find through fundraising activities, voluntary donations and legacies. They support people with a wide range of conditions including: Cancer, Motor Neurones Disease, COPD, Heart Conditions, Stroke and Dementia.
My mother needed similar care through the later part of her life to support her in her struggles against COPD, I therefore know how important their support is for others.
I am fortunate enough to be in a position to run the NYC Marathon on 4th November 2018, I wanted to use this as an opportunity to raise money for a local organisation and give something back.
It would be fantastic if we together could raise £100 for every mile I am to run, this would certainly provide the motivation I need to get me through the course having never run a marathon before.
All your help is much appreciated and needed.
