Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When Peter said to me last summer, after a considerable amount of beer, "shall we do the Ironman in Lanzarote?" I dismissed it out of sight as a thing that only madmen do. When he booked his place in the event on the spot, he left Mark and I with a challenge that we couldn't refuse. 

Nine months on and we're almost ready to take on the challenge. We've all learned to swim, got better at cycling and can run a bit. We even cut down on the beer intake and lost some weight.

It's by far the biggest physical challenge that any of us have tried before and we would love to have the support of anybody and everybody who can afford to help us with our sponsorship which will all go directly to St. Rocco's. We are self funded.

My wife passed away in St. Rocco's a little over three years ago so I know first hand what a wonderful caring service they provide. They are grossly underfunded, so much so that the vast majority of the money they need to stay open, comes from us, the general public.

Please do what you can to help, and we will try our best to get around the course on the 25th May!!
