St Mary’s Hospice provides specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life-shortening conditions throughout South Cumbria. Only 18% of our funding comes from the NHS, the rest comes from our supporters. All our services are provided free to patients and their families.

Story

Our Grandad was a keen hiker, biker, climber and lover of the Lakes. On Sunday 14th June we are aiming to ride the height of Everest (29029ft) by biking up Kirkstone Pass 38 times in one day.

*update* We both completed our challenge and it looks like Tom may have the new UK record, being the first in the UK to ride 29029ft in under 9 hours. We’re still waiting for official verification.
