I am taking on this challenge to help raise money for PAPYRUS
Prevention of Young Suicide in memory of my sister Lauren who sadly passed away in the hands of suicide. I shall be abseiling the National lift tower in Northampton, the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world (418feet) .
The charity helps support people who call their helpline and if anything this tragedy has shown me the its the true importance of talking and sharing your feelings with family and friends. However, not everybody has someone to talk too or feel uncomfortable talking to people close to them. This is where PAPYRUS steps in and helps anyone who calls their helpline. We encourage young people who feel low to call and seek help. We hope with the money raised we can help someone through their darkest hour.
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
