Tough Mudder Scotland 2022 · 2 July 2022 to 3 July 2022 ·

Headway Clyde is Scotland's largest provider of vital ongoing community support for individuals affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and their families. We provide weekly therapeutic groups, information, expert advice on ABI as well as operating Scotland's only ABI specialist advocacy service.

Story

On the 7th March 2021, our dad suffered a heart attack, in which he had to be resuscitated for over 45 minutes, because of this he suffered catastrophic brain damage. Our families life completely changed. A big family of 6 who are extremely close felt like they were losing their leader, as we were told to prepare for the worst. Fast forward over a year later and our amazing dad is still with us, he requires 24 hour care but we get to share special moments with him that for a period of time we didn’t think would be possible. Headway have been great, giving advice to our mum, who out of everyone has had to face the biggest change but despite this has been the most caring, loving and dedicated wife by looking after our dad 24/7. Headway can give practical support and guidance to many families who need them for the unexpected tragedies of life. In order to help headway continue their invaluable work, my work NHS 24 are taking part in tough mudder on 3rd July. All money raised will be donated to headway. Thank you for all donations and reading our story.
