Earlier this year we lost a great member of our motor club Dave Evans who passed away suddenly.

His wish was to raise money for Cancer Research UK, but he never got to do that, so Rhyl & District Motor Club has taken on this challenge and have been doing so in his memory.  I have been a member of the club for 20 years and fundraising has always been something we do. Someone brings something to the club and we do our best for them and the charity.

Unfortunately we have lost have all probably lost someone through cancer and last year I lost my MUM. It's not an un-heard of story anymore and many of you my family and friends have been affected by cancer.
I also know people who I know who have also fought cancer and have won their battle and that’s down finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research and fighting cancer on all fronts enabling more lives to be saved from this disease.

So now it’s my turn.
I started running in May and before that could not run but with encouragement I have come to love it. I have increased my distances and have even been up at the crack of dawn to run. I am keen to take on a challenge of a first big run, with your sponsorship, the memory of Dave and my Mum I know I will do it.
