Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

My two stage exploit seems to warrant the support of two worthy charitable causes: Phab Kids (who have kindly given me a marathon place) and Unicef's End Child Trafficking Campaign (which is a topic that I have long been passionate about).

http://www.phabkids.co.uk/

Phab is a national charity dedicated to the integration of people with and without physical disabilities in the community. They provide valuable support for families, and carers of the disabled helping them overcome feelings of isolation.

UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation focusing on children and child rights, with a presence in more than 190 countries and territories and work with local communities and governments to ensure every child.

Every year, over a million children are trafficked into the modern-day equivalent of slavery. They are secretly transported across borders and sold like commodities or trafficked within countries for the sole purpose of exploitation.

Some 1.2 million children are now estimated by the UN to be trafficked each year. To achieve our ultimate aim of ending the exploitation of children and protecting their right to be a child, UNICEF is working to build a protective environment where children can grow up safe from exploitation.

There are so many very worth while causes to support but these are two that are close to my heart so I genuinely appreciate any donations you can afford.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

All contributions will be gratefully received and give me an extra spring in my (many) steps up a sizeable mountain and around London in April.

Thank you again!
