I ran Brighton marathon earlier this year with Henry in my mind, I secured a good for age place in the London marathon to be able to run for Henry and his friends. Please help me to support this wonderful charity. I grew up with Henry’s Dad Mike and have known him since primary school. My heart goes out to him and his family. 

Henry was 3 when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Neuroblastoma. Hugs from Henry was set up to support families going through the same turmoil. 

Neuroblastoma is the biggest killer of children under 5 in the UK. Treatment is long and painful, children are often left with lasting side effects, such as hearing loss, blindness, mobility issues and diabetes. Some are given the news that their child is dying and won’t see more than a few months more. Families need support during this time for many years after treatment finishes. Hugs from Henry send these families away to make precious memories together, away from the scary hospital setting, places that the whole family will enjoy. 

Hugs from Henry also  provide group events and activities for families in Devon and Cornwall who have a child with cancer and who have lost a child to cancer. These events ensure that families can have a break from the cancer world for a few hours and be surrounded by people who are going through the same.
