Having been supported on my running journey over the many years I wanted to give back to their charity which inspires me every day to help make peoples life’s safer which in turn is a strong value I hold for my job.

Finish Line Fund provides funding, equipment and sponsorship to East Essex Sports bodies. They are also dedicated to proving a safer environment for sporting activity via funding numerous defibrillators across the community. This is driven by the reasons for the charity’s formation, the tragic death of a local runner at the 2014 Southend half marathon.

Last summer a defibrillator they are responsible for was used at Jubilee Beach, Southend in saving a lady.

Recently they’ve funded  sports clubs with defibrillators, a host of different equipment and to various event organisers, covered the cost of medical cover on race days.

I’m running the London Marathon raising funds to help them continue their work.
