I am excited… really, I am (!) as I will be running 10 marathons in 10 days, starting on the 4th October 2017. This is a challenge hosted by Brutal Events, an accurately named company!

I have always loved running and having been forced to take a year off due to injury I am looking forward to training again, with a new level of motivation thanks to the 10 in 10 challenge. I have completed many half and full marathons which have all been achievements I am proud of, however it’s time to take things to the next level… or 10 levels.

A huge part of the motivation to complete this challenge is the opportunity to raise money for Combat Stress. They provide specialist treatment to support veterans with their mental health. Fundraising helps to provide vital services to change veteran’s lives, and the lives of their families.

Having spent 10 years in the Army it is a cause that is close to my heart. I have personally seen the outcome of some of their work and know many people who have benefited.
