Mick and Ceri run the London Marathon

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
Yes you read it correctly!!!! And once you have picked yourself up off the floor, we would be really grateful if you would spend a few minutes to read our story.
The London Marathon was always a bucket list item for us that we wanted to complete together. We celebrated in 2019 after successfully gaining a place in the 2020 London Marathon. We started our training ( everyone who knows us will agree that we are not runners by any stretch of the imagination!!!) ,we had decided on the charity that we wanted to run for and we were raring to go with our fundraising journey.
However, the world had a different plan and in March 2020 everything was put on hold A few setbacks later and a load of injuries thrown in the mix, we are now set to finally get the chance to fulfill our dream and run The London Marathon on the 2nd October.
We are realistic. We are three years older and no closer to being able to call ourselves runners. However we have a lot of determination and willpower and both share a passion to raise as much money as possible for Make-A-Wish foundation. We are not striving to run in any record time, just to finish it will be a huge achievement.
We would be really grateful if any of our family and friends would help us in fundraising for this wonderful charity. Together we could make a difference to so many children and make their wishes come true.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and look out for us on the TV!!!

Make-A-Wish UK creates life-changing wishes that revive the childhood that critical illness takes away, bringing light and joy at the darkest of times for a child and their loved ones. But right now, there are 60,000 children in the UK living with a critical condition, and they don't have the resources to be that light for everyone. Your generous support will help them step closer to achieving their vision: to grant a wish to every eligible child. Together, we have the power to light up the darkness.
