In October 2014 Mum lost her brave fight against Cancer.  She had been fighting it for eight years before it got the better of her and took her away from us.  I wanted to do something to help try and beat this cruel disease in her memory.

I'm undertaking the There and Back  - Leeds to Manchester Challenge Cancer cycle event.  I've sucessfully done 3 100mile cycle events in recent years, so this is something new as its 120miles, starting in Leeds at 2.ooam in the morning.  Cycling at night, across Ilkley Moor with plenty of hi Viz and lights  - sounds like quite a scary challenge.  Hopefully, breakfast will still be being served at Heaton Park when I arrive before I turn around and head for home.
