In December 2015, Kev and Marcia McGuire were blessed with the arrival of a little baby daughter Millie Caiomhe

However what should have been the greatest of Xmas presents became a nightmare. Millie was born with Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy which leaves babies severely brain damaged, and with that came a multitude of health complications which has kept her in hospital ever since fighting each day to stay alive

Many of you will know Kev through his excellence as a musician and frontman with ace Mod/Ska band The Style Selektors from Teesside. He also works tirelessly for charity and organises fund raisers aplenty. At an hour of need such as now, time to give something back to Kev. Mod is a family and we are in solidarity with The McGuire Family.

The Special Care Baby Unit at North Tees Hospital baby have been
singularly magnificent in supporting Kev and Marcia in providing the
best of care for Millie....so what are we going to do?

Dust down those Jam Shoes, brush up the suede on your Desert Boots, get mum to iron your Fred Perry and get those creases in your StaPrest just right.......Saturday 26th March we are going to have us a big Mod
Musical celebration, send out those love vibes to Kev, Millie and Marcia
and get some funds raised for the Ace Faces of the Hospital Baby Unit.

Hosted by house band Serious Chord Squad and our lovely patrons The
Blue Anchor Hotel, this will be a night like no other. Sean Cooke from
Radio Woking will be the master of ceremonies for the event.

Over the next few weeks I will be finalising the bill and I will be
calling on you my lovely friends to spread the word and support the
event as you are best able, from performing as a musician, coming up
with creative ideas around publicity and fund generation, generating
raffle and auction prizes, to just sending your best wishes to The
McGuire Family.

Keep the Faith and remember....Mods don't do compassion fatigue X

Mike
