Colin and I are running in memory of our friend and colleague, Michael Smith, who died from cancer earlier this year. We had both worked with Michael for many years.

I've chosen the Beaumond House hospice and Colin is raising money for Cancer Research - we're not fussy so please donate as you feel appropriate.

I did the half-marathon in 2015 but have not done any serious running since then. However, I have been following a structured training programme and hope to thrash Colin to the finish line but at least two or three seconds.
