Story
In 2015 my dad was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma, a rare brain tumour. Luckily these tumours are benign, however due to the size and location of the tumour if not removed would have been life threatening. Dad underwent an operation in February 2016. He is now in rehab and has received amazing treatment both from the Neurological Team at Southampton General Hospital and the Rehab Team at QA Hospital Portsmouth. Go NHS! We hope to have him home soon and count ourselves lucky...
I think it’s time for me to raise awareness for this nasty disease and give something back... So I’ve signed up for the London to Brighton Bike Ride on 11th September for The Brain Tumour Charity! The Brain Tumour Charity is dedicated to fighting brain tumours on all fronts through research, awareness and support to save lives and improve quality of life to those affected by brain tumours...
(P.S. if he is well enough one of Dad's goals is to join me on the final mile of my bike ride... bless him!).
All contributions, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving Page! It would be fantastic if you could donate and share my page so that I can raise as much as possible to help them continue with their amazing work...
