Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
It's Movember, the month formerly known as November, now dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness; and we have chosen to raise money for our nominated charity 'Maggie's Cancer Charity' to help bring a Maggie's Centre to Aberdeen.
We're donating our top lips to the cause for 30 days in an effort to help raise money for this worthwhile cause. Our Mo's will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancer.
Why are we raising money for Maggie's?
· Aberdeen is Scotland’s third largest cancer treatment centre but is the only clinical centre in Scotland not supported by Maggie’s.
· The Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation and Maggie's are involved in an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise £3m to bring a Maggie's Centre to Foresterhill Hospital, Aberdeen for families affected by cancer across Grampian.
· Maggie’s Aberdeen will support up to 40% of all new people diagnosed with cancer each year by the time the centre is 5 years old.
· The centre will play an essential role: put simply, it aims to bring joy and instil hope, helping people not to lose the joy of living in the fear of dying.
We're asking you to support our Movember campaign by making a donation - big or small to our cause.
Thank-you for visiting our page and we hope you'll have a laugh at the photos to come, and thank you for donating.
