Moira's FeBREWary Event

FeBREWary Event · 3 February 2021
You all know our daughter, Philippa, has Cystic Fibrosis and I never fail to tell you how immensely proud Ian and I are of all her achievements in life. Her determination to live life to the full, her selfless attitude towards others and her sheer doggedness to get back up when she’s knocked down are a lesson to all of us.
The Covid pandemic has been particularly tough for all CF sufferers. They are extremely clinically vulnerable so have to shield and have been shielding now for nearly a year. Shielding brings with it financial, psychological and medical problems. CF helplines have been working overtime supporting anxious CF patients and their families.
Philippa and her husband, Adam, are expecting a baby in spring. Being pregnant, having CF and shielding in a pandemic is challenging. This fund raising is a small thank you to the CF trust for the wonderful support she’s had.
This is a tough year for all charities, but it has been particularly hard on CF as it is a small charity and receives no government funding. Its revenue this year has more than halved.
So, make a brew, eat cake, join me on zoom and donate!
Thank you all so much for supporting Cystic Fibrosis!
