Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have accepted the challenge of completing an arduous trek in across the point of the trek being at the (4,445m).
This adventure will involve six days of trekking across hilly and difficult terrain. Although walking distances are not huge, due to the altitude (highest point is at 4,500m) I will be spending approximately six to nine hours a day scaling valleys and mountain passes before reaching the breathtaking Machu Picchu ruins.
Funds raised will go towards providing vital, specialist equipment for children with Muscular Dystrophy and related muscle diseases across the UK. Muscular Dystrophy and muscle disease are devastating, incurable conditions that cause muscles to waste away. Children who have muscle disease get progressively weaker - they can’t do simple tasks that we take for granted, such as brushing their hair or turning the pages of a book. About 8,000 children in the UK have muscle disease. Many of them will not live to reach adulthood. Equipment such as powered wheelchairs, electric page turners and mobile arm supports, make a huge difference to the children and the lives of their families.

So, if you are able to, please dig deep and donate now. Thanks in advance from the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
