Story
Mortimus Roy Jones died in October 2021 at the age of 86.
Under his stage name "Steve Russell" he had performed at clubs across Greater Manchester continuously since the late 1950s - at Social, Working Men's, Conservative, Labour and, of course, British Legion Clubs.
Whether as compere or singer, the "Singing Milkman" was a stalwart of the Northern Club Scene, and we could think of no better way to memorialise him than by fundraising for the Royal British Legion.
He leaves behind three sons and their partners
- Steven and Veronica
- David and Donna
- Alan and Zoë
as well as four grandchildren - John, Claire, Sean, and Eden - and one great grandchild - Daisy.
Give money only according to your means, but please write your memories generously.
