Great Manchester Run 2023 · 21 May 2023 ·

Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

Story

The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.

Last year, a team of runners from Moss Park Infant School raised an amazing £1,345 for this lesser known charity.  Sarah Carroll (Office), Spencer Carver (Y2), James Curzon (PE), Ashley Davies (Y1), Jen Latham (Office), Jake Moore (Site Manager) and Jess Warden (Y2) will once again be pounding the streets of Manchester on 21st May hoping to raise as much money as possible.

Any donations and words of encouragement will be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.
