In 1989 Wendy's grandson was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital at a week old where he received life saving treatment from the specialist Doctors and medical staff. What they did stayed with Wendy and it was her wish that those who would like to do something in her memory could make a donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital instead of flowers.
