Muhib's Mount Snowdon trek

Mount Snowdon trek · 5 October 2013
Thank you for visiting my justgiving page to raise money for the people of Syria. Let me give you some numbers: -
- 100,000 - the number of Syrians the UN estimates have been killed since the civil war began, however it believes this figure to be much higher.
- 2 million - the official number of people who have fled Syria and are now offically recognised as refugees with the UN
- 5 million - the number of people estimated to have been internally displaced in Syria by the conflict
These figures will only continue growing as the Syrian civil war continues to rage and countless more innocents are killed, injured, displaced and arrested just because their land and homes have become a bitter battleground between various warring factions
On 7 June 2013, the United Nations Emergency Relief Co-ordinator, Valerie Amos said: “One in three Syrians is now in need of urgent humanitarian assistance. Between January and April 2013, the number of people displaced in Syria more than doubled. These are massive figures, but those figures mask a human tragedy."
All of us can make a difference. Despite the fact that this crisis is happening thousands of miles away it does not diminsh our responsibility as decent human beings to help those in dire need of humanitarian aid.
Al Imdaad Foundation has been granted permission by the UN to build a containerised village in Syria made up of 100 homes, a school, medical centre and mosque. I and a group of friends are helping to raise funds for this worthy cause by climbing Mount Snowdon.
Please help by donating generously to this worthy cause and help alleviate the pain and suffering for some for the millions of victims who are innocently suffering.
