My name is Muna Adan and I am an 18 year old student who has

been accepted to become a volunteer for ICS, exciting isn't it?

Over the next few months I will be trying to raise £800 so I can go on a 10 week expedition with Raleigh on the ICS programme to the outskirts of Managua, the poorest parts of Nicaragua.In these 10 weeks I’ll be on the WASH programme which focuses on water, sanitation and hygiene. Examples of what we could be doing is to help make clean water accessible to the adults and children living there by building a water pipe to cut the distance travelled to get clean water.

If the £800 is raised then I will become a part of rebuilding the villages in Managua, and so will you. This opportunity is life changing;it would mean having an impact on lives, allowing them to move a step closer to a life out of poverty. To give them a start in life, one that we were blessed with.

I want to become a part of a global movement for positive
change, and I believe in myself as part of the solution to some of the biggest issues facing our world today. I may not be able to eliminate world hunger and poverty, but I can improve the lives of those living in Managua with your donations. I am asking you to make an investment - to invest in the people of Nicaragua. I can envision a better world, and therefore I have a responsibility to create change to reach that vision.
