PDSA are the only veterinary services that are open 24 hours a day every day in both Derby andNottingham. Working with Vets Now they provide emergency care and support for pets during the middle of the night  

I know this after my dog ate chewing gum off the side at 7pm on a Sunday, which is highly poisonous for dogs. I took her to PDSA Derby, where they pumped her stomach and kept her in over night to monitor any poisons in her blood. I stayed there and was amazed at how busy they were, I would never know this if I didn’t experience it  

If this service was not available, my dog would have died and many more people would be suffering waiting for their usual vets to open in the morning. 

I’m raising money for PDSA, and further awareness of some common household items that are dangerous to dogs. Chewing contains xylitol for which one piece has enough to shut down the liver of a large dog. Most people I spoke to after this, were not aware of the dangers.
