In Honour of Angus

Julie DeArmond is raising money for ME Research UK
In memory of Angus Nesbit
ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into ME/CFS. Our funded research suggests that in excess of 400,000 people in the UK have ME/CFS but it is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We invest in the best research we can globally.

Story

Angus and I met at an ME Support Group. We instantly clicked and with our dark humour we laughed our way through so much shared pain, discomfort and indignity.

I am so incredibly sad that Angus chose to end his life on 22 February 2022 to put an end to his suffering, but I understand why he did this.  He was 54 but his life was so limited. He could not live life in any way that resembled actually living.  I am relieved that he is not suffering now but I miss him terribly.

Even through the hardest times Angus had the determination and strength to advocate for all of us with ME.  He relentlessly tried to raise awareness, to seek out and share research about causes or possible new treatments.  He was desperate to get more biomedical research into the cause(s) of ME and treatment for it , whilst hoping for a cure.

I wish to honour him by  raising money in aid of ME Research UK, so that his death can help others with ME survive.; this was his wish.

I invite you to make a donation to this worthy cause, for Angus, for me and for all those other ME sufferers whose lives have been completely derailed.
