Story

Welcome to the National Grid Pension Team’s JustGiving page!

In support of National Grid’s charity partner, the Alzheimer’s Society, we’re taking on the Stonehenge Marathon Trek. On 2 September, 2017, we’ll be donning our walking gear and trekking 26 miles in the beautiful – and challenging! – downs and woodlands of southern Wiltshire.

So who’s taking part? Representing Corporate Pensions, UK Pensions Operations and Trustee Services, the team members are:

Nick Bean, Guy Bysouth, Rachel Colloff, Hana Crossfield, Eddie Davies, Wayne Du Preez, James Foster, Melissa Haggith, Lisa King, Richard Mcdonald, Helen McIntosh,  Carolyn Ray, Dan Wakeling, Davy Wetton, Slava Zivkovic.

From all of us, thank you in advance for your support.

A little bit about our chosen charity

The Alzheimer’s Society is united to create a world without dementia and we’re proud to be taking on this challenge to support this charity. Any donations – no matter how big or small – will help ensure that those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their communities without fear or prejudice.

To respect the diverse beliefs of all of our team members, we will be asking the Alzheimer’s Society not to use any money we raise in connection with embryonic stem cell research. Further information can be found here.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
