The Dorney Triathlon · 12 June 2022

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is a marine conservation & campaigning charity inspiring, uniting & empowering communities to protect oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife.

Story

As long as I can remember I have loved the ocean and everything that comes with it. The waves, the sunshine, the sand, and the memories. Nothing spoils those wonderful moments like having to step over fishing nets, plastic, and general pollution. I can't count the amount of times I've paddled back in from a session with my wetsuit jammed with plastic or other trash I've found while surfing. Enough is enough.

It's unacceptable and we need to do something about it. We have to take personal responsibility. We need to be stewards of our planet.

I am doing the Dorney Lake Triathlon to raise awareness about pollution and to push myself as an athlete. I love finding new challenges. Here, with the support of Surfers Against Sewage, I can spread the word about plastic pollution by getting after it in my training and on Race Day!

If you feel the same way about our earth and our oceans then please donate. Every little bit helps! Thank you and please tune into my instagram @natewileyman for more updates along the way. Thank you and see you on June 12th!!
