9th July 2012-Monday-near mid-night.

Dear Sponsors,

To my amazement I finished my run in an hour 5 minutes on Sunday 8th July 2012. It was wet, windy and cold while waiting 2 hours before I ran across the start line. It rained a few times during the run but, it was refreshing. My socks and shoes with holes were soaking wet. All ended well and no injury. This morning I received 2 donations which total to £6 and I felt lucky. Thank you all for your supports.

Please don't hestitate to donate any amount you can spare and make a different to a girl's education and future. Thank you.

Nancy.

21st June 2012-RACE No 12175 and all sponsors' names are already written on my T-shirt. thank you everyone for your generous support to me and donation to CAMFED. with love, nancy

Dearest  relatives and friends,

Glorius morning, dry, warm and with gentle breezes.

Oh dear, no deer throughout my 2 miles run from Queen's Gate to Richmond Gate. There were many other runners, walkers and countless cyclists along the path and in the park. The sun was shining and it created many beautiful scenes of light and shadows.

I ran out of Richmond Gate to Richmond Hill, down the steps to the small garden. The few rows of benches had no visible sitter. The garden was waiting for visitors. I was wowed by the spreads of fresh lavendar plants. Also, enjoyed the many scenes of summer morning lights and shadows. On my returned run back to Pembroke Lodge-Richmond Park, I met few families out to enjoy the walks and sunshine.

At Pembroke Lodge, I stopped to have refreshment with Jim who came to meet me and give me a treat.  I had a good run, felt good and first time I thought I could finish 10K -6.213 miles in an hour.

Thanks again for sponsoring me for the 10K London Run.

nancy. at 18.50hr-Kingston.

17th June 2012-Sunday morning at 08.00 hr.

Yesterday, I raised another £5 which was generously donated by the young grandfather of 2 young sweet and beautiful girls Kaci and Grace. I met them at my stall at Hook Centre Craft Fair.

with lots of love, nancy

31st May 2012

I left home at 8.45 am and ran again to hampton court palace. The rose garden was in full bloom and I could enjoy all the roses alone. Some had strong fragances and in deed i felt so lucky to be there. As I ran round the garden, I took images with my mobile phone. I had enjoyed my run with all the beautiful flowers, plants, trees and fragrance around me. Oh yes, along the river path, I saw half a dozen of bunny rabbits and managed to catch a photo of one of them before it zoomed into the bushes.

29th May 2012-Tuesday.

I started my training early at 8 am when the sun was already beaming hot on this part of the earth. The light at Kings Passage-my starting point-was delightful and comforting. Henry the 8th and his men rode up and down this passage during their lifetimes. The Thames water was calm and only the swans and geese and their new babies swimming and bathing happily. I saw 2 large eggs sitting on a nest and hope they would not be disturbed and be damaged.

Along the path, lots of cotton puffs gathered and settled on both sides. Some still hanging down from the branches and waiting for the time to break free and drop on the ground.

I sighted a handful of bunny rabbits. However, they zoomed into the bushes faster than I zoomed out my camera lense.

I was pleased with myself to finish 4 miles in 45 minutes. Yesterday, I ran a mile and had to give up due to pain on my left leg.

Hampton Court Palace was quiet when I arrived. I was the only person at the Rose Garden. The roses opened in plentiful and some already tired by the summer hot heat.

Enjoy and don't forget to encourage your friends and family to sponsor me and donate to CAMFED.

bye for today! best wishes, nancy.

24th May 2012-hot-hot-hot

The morning was pleasant-dry and warm and I took the opportunity to run out from Lower Kings Road into Richmond Park. The thick foliages of large trees shaded me from direct sunlight. There was no deer insight-only 2 grey squirrels and lots of black bird. Lots of visitors sitting at the rear garden of Pembroke Lodge-having their refreshments and casual chats. I asked a young lady to take a photo of me to show to all my sponsors. The wisteria blossoms are still fresh and attractive as they drape at the front view of Pembroke Lodge. I took few photos of pink peonies, red poppies and pink/white rhododendrums-all to show my sponsors.

It was hotter on my returned run but, I have enjoyed. Good health and happiness. with love, nancy.

12th-May 2012, Ran up Lower Kings Road, through Queens Gate into Richmond Park. Then, the sun was shining and temperature was comfortable. I met a few bunny rabbits but, no Queen's deer. At Pembroke Lodge, the wisteria enchances the charm of the building. Also, guests were gathering for a wedding function. Indeed, all so busy and beautiful. Lots of smiles and also, from Jim!

11th May 2012-

Dear Sponsors,

Heaven has repaired the bursted water pipes over South West London and so Kingston was dry this morning. Great news after 3 weeks of continuous rainfall. So, I took my strides out of our house and ran to Hampton Court Palace. The wind was strong but refreshing. The river path was rather quiet, with two female runners behind me and  a man walking his dog from opposite direction. His dog stretched, leaped up and the craws nearly brushed down my face. The owner called out, 'Alice-naughty you.'  and the black skinny dog walked away-following her owner. There was no sign of bunny rabbits to make me stop for a photo call. However, the full white blossoms of few trees drew my attention, to stop and to take a photo.

Visitors had arrived to tour HCP. I ran 3 rounds in the Rose Garden and could not spot any open rose. So, you have to make do to enjoy the photo of our first bloomed yellow rose at 59LKR.

At the Wilderness Garden, wild yellow cups and blue-bells bloomed and enchanted many visitors. The daffodils, tulips and snow-drops have gone to sleep-giving other plants and flowers the chances to dance in the breeze and be admired.  It was a great joy to run under the arch of beautiful fresh yellow laburnium. I stopped and talked to a young lady visitor from Perth and volunteered to take a few photos for her. She was sweet and courteous and all worth while.

At Bushy Park, the dormant chestnut trees came alive and filled their branches with thick green foliages and white blossoms. They stood strong, neatly in rows and I was happy to stand and stare.

Have a good day wherever you are right now. And, don't forget to get friends and families to sponsor me and support CAMFED.

with love, nancy and it's near to 8pm and dinner time.

3rd May 2012-Rain Rain go away, Come back another day. Nancy Robinson wants to race.

I don't believe that it's still raining after all those countless days. My body is still unfit to train for the next few days. Hopefully, by then, the rain will leave us now and then-to allow time for me to train/run.

Yesterday, our door bell rang and I had to take delivery of a parcel. Joel from DHL was wet by the rain and I complainted to him that I could not go out running for the last 2 weeks. Then, we got talking and next, he asked for my sponsor form. Joel kindly pledged £1 per km for my 10Km Run. Indeed, my heart was touched by his volunteered generosity. So, I can imagine the intense happiness from those rural African girls and women who received surprised help from CAMFED and of course, each of you play a part.

So many kind words and my young nephew Jason cheered me up early this morning with his well wishes. I am not sick-I am just not well. With all the strong supporters, I will run well soon. With a  smile from Nancy Lee Robinson-this morning. Good Luck to everyone of you!

Sorry, no new photos to update. Will be soon!

 24th November 2011

Dear Family and Friends,

I am running again for CAMFED and again in the British 10K London Run. This time it will be on 8th July 2012-a great Olympic year in London. This time I will not say or think: It's going to be my last.

Running for CAMFED is not mainly about raising funds. It includes trying to keep my body healthy and strong too. Through your suppport, I am able to achieve both goals together.

I started this page earlier than usual because there is lots to do in the coming months before the event. Better to be early than late.

Donation through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for reading my page and I hope you will consider donation of any amount to support my Run and CAMFED's work.

Happy New Year 2012.

Nancy, running with Audrey and Rachel.
